PRINCIPLES OF PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

Our e-shop Marwellmedic.com, belonging to Marwell Medic s.r.o., Company ID No.: 25969579, with registered offices at Kyjovská 606, 348 15 Planá, registered in the commercial register administered by the Regional Court in Plzeň, section C, entry 32309 (hereinafter referred to as the “controller”) unequivocally and openly states how we process your personal data in accordance with REGULATION (EU) 2016/679 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as ”GDPR”). We respect your right to privacy. In the interest of transparency, the following principles provide detailed information concerning which personal data we process, for what purpose, for how long, with whom do we share this data, what are your rights and much more.

1. The protection of personal data are a priority in all that we do. 

Your trust is important to us. We respect your control of your personal data and digital content, and it is our priority to prevent any unauthorized access to them. Whenever we request information from you, we really need it and ask for nothing more. In order to verify your e-mail, we utilize a double opt-in function.

What personal data do we ask you for?

We collect the personal data that you give us when you for example order something, contact us or give a rating to a purchase or product. Personal data that you give us include both mandatory data, such as contact and payment information, and optional data. It is not possible to make a purchase without providing the mandatory information. You voluntarily share your personal data with us where we request your consent (for example at registration, subscription to our newsletter, online advice, discussions, reviews, etc.) in the scope defined there.

How do we use your personal data?

We need your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Creating and administering your personal account (registration)
  • Processing of your orders, goods delivery, processing of product returns and claims
  • Sending current information concerning the status of your order via text messages
  • Contacting you in the event of problems with delivery of goods you have ordered
  • Answering your questions and informing you about new and modified services
  • Sending you commercial messages about current promotions and discounts (newsletter)
  • Administering your account and payments
  • Performing analyses so that we provide you with relevant products
  • Checking your age in order to conform to regulations regarding shopping on the internet
  • Sending you satisfaction surveys with the objective to give you the opportunity to influence our assortment and services
  • Testing and improving our systems via which we provide our services
  • Preventing the misuse of our services


We will keep your personal data for the necessary period of time, especially for the above-mentioned purposes:

  • For purchases both with and without registration for a period of three years, where a new three-year period starts on the date of your last order;
  • For the rating of purchases or products for a period of three years;
  • For sending commercial messages without a realized purchase, discussions, watchdog alerts, contact form, advice forums, product questions, etc. for a period of one year;
  • Or for a period prescribed by law (a period of 11 years for data provided on a tax document, meeting the legal requirements according to Act no. 235/2004 Coll., on value added tax as amended).

After the above-mentioned periods of time your personal data will be deleted unless you agree to an extension for the processing of personal data.

2. We will protect you

We are improving our services. We have implemented organizational and technical measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorized access. We are continuously adapting our security measures in line with technological advances and development. In order to ensure that your card payments with us are as secure as possible, all information is sent in coded form using a SSL protocol. This means that this information goes through secure connections and your payment card information cannot be read by external parties. For card payments we collaborate with an authorized payment intermediary, who directly helps us to confirm with your bank that the card is valid for online purchases. We perform this via our services and information shared with you. All data that we collect from you is only stored in European Union countries.

3. Decide how much to share with us

In order to provide you with even better services and relevant messages, we collect information about how our applications are used. This means that when you use our web, we monitor which functions are most used and which actions trigger error messages. 4. We select service providers that we can trust

We are part of an internet company in which we cannot exist without external service providers. Data that we obtain may be shared to the following processors:

And possibly other providers of processing software, services and applications, which we however do not currently use. We never provide, sell or exchange your data with any third parties for commercial purposes.

5. What are your rights?

You have the right to request information about what personal data about you we have saved (free of charge once a year). If these data are incorrect or incomplete, you may request that we correct or delete this information. We cannot delete if we are prevented from doing so by legal regulations concerning data retention, for example accounting laws, or other justifiable reasons such as outstanding debts. You have the right at any time to revoke your consent to the processing of personal data (Article 7 Section 3 GDPR), the right to access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR), the right to their correction (Article 16 GDPR) or deletion (Article 17 GDPR), the right to limit processing (Article 18 GDPR), and raise objections against processing (Article 21 GDPR). You have the right to the transferability of these data to another controller (Article 20 GDPR), as well as the right to submit a complaint to the Office of Personal Data Protection, if you believe that in the processing of personal data our company has not proceeded in accordance with GDPR (Article 77 GDPR). 6. There is no privacy without security

Secure services help to store personal data safe from cyber-attacks and curious people. Without security there is no guarantee of privacy. Because of our devotion to cyber security, we are able to offer you truly secure digital services.
